CSSGJ - SIMON TORMEY
Simon is the founder of CSGJ. He is a professor of politics and critical theory at the School of Politics and International Relations at Nottingham University. His work focuses particularly on radical political theory and social movements.

CSSGJ - VANESSA ANDREOTTI
Vanessa is a research fellow and Education Coordinator of CSGJ. She is on of the 'catalisers' of the OSDE initiative. She is a Brazilian educator (qualified teacher and trainer) who has been working for the last 6 years in the field of development and global citizenship education. She is also finishing her PhD on representations of the 'Third and First' worlds in global citizenship education in England.

UoN - SUJATHA RAMAN
Sujatha is a lecturer at IGBIS at Nottingham University. Her work focuses on ethical issues related to science and technology. Sujatha has been involved in this project since its inception.

 

Educational Project: Learning about Others, Learning about Ourselves (LAO)
LAO is an educational project funded by DFID which pilots the methodology in educational contexts in the East Midlands

CENTRE FOR CITIZENSHIP STUDIES (LEICESTER UNIVERSITY)
PAUL WARWICK

Paul is the deputy director at CCS and the Leicester coordinator of LAO. He has been working in citizenship education for the last 5 years. He also holds a PhD on the same topic.
GLOBAL EDUCATION DERBY - LINDA BARKER
Linda is the education coordinator at GED and Derby coordinator for LAO. She is a qualified teacher with 10 years classroom experience. For the last 7 years she has worked in Development Education. She completed the Global Trainers Course at the London Institute of Education in 2004.

GLOBAL EDUCATION DERBY - MAGGIE TALTY-SANGHERA
Maggie is a qualified secondary education teacher who has just started as a global citizenship officer at GED. She will work with the primary and secondary strands of LAO.

 

GLOBAL EDUCATION DERBY - MARCELA FLORES NEWBURNS
Marcela is a qualified primary education teacher who has just started as a global citizenship officer at GED. She will work with the primary and secondary strands of LAO.

LONDON SOUTH BANK UNIVERSITY - ANGE GRUNSELL
Until recently, Ange was Education Programme manager at Oxfam, an international NGO. She tutors on a masters distance learning course in Education for sustainable development. She takes on free lance assignments to develop her own and others understanding and practice of global citizenship.

MUNDI - ALEXANDER KOSOGORIN
Alex is the coordinator at Mundi. He is an early years qualified teacher with 6 years classroom experience. He has been involved in development education for 7 years both within the UK at Mundi and as a VSO/Save the Children volunteer in Vietnam. He holds an MA in education and social justice.

MUNDI - LISA YOUNG
Lisa is a project worker at MUNDI. She is the Nottingham and regional coordinator for LAO. She is a qualified secondary school teacher and holds an MRes in Environment and Development .
OXFORD BROOKES - KATY NEWELL-JONES
Katy is a principal lecturer at the School of Health at Oxford Brookes University and the external evaluator of LAO. She has extensive experience in development education both in the UK and overseas.
