OSDE training the trainer - UK

This is a one-day training the trainer course for educators with some experience in enquiry or participatory approaches (e.g. OSDE, P4C or PRA) who want to join the OSDE initiative in the UK as trainers in their regions.

The aim of the course is to train trainers to deliver two introductory workshops (OSDE and Critical Literacy) to teachers in the UK

Programme:

09:30 – 10:30 OSDE workshop
10:30 – 11:15 Debriefing
11:30 – 12:30 Critical Literacy Workshop
12:30 – 01:30 Lunch
01:30 – 02:15 Debriefing
02:15 – 02:45 OSDE website tips
02:45 – 03:45 Micro-Teaching
03:45 – 04:15 Q&A and evaluation

Each participant will receive a CD containing all materials on the OSDE website and the presentations used in the course + 30 OSDE introductory booklets.

Trainer requirements:

-Some experience with enquiry approaches or other participatory approaches
-Familiarity with the OSDE website (especially the FAQ section)

Joining OSDE:

Participants will be invited to join the OSDE initiative as trainers in their regions. Trainers will be listed on the OSDE website and will be able to offer introductory OSDE INSET sessions to schools representing the network.
